This year’s works outing was – as almost every year – coupled with “sporty (maximum) performances”. In the neighboring Delbrück the team bus belched out a high number of cheerful participants that practiced after some introductory remarks on Swingolf, which is an originally French sport developed by Laurent de Vilmorin in 1982. Swingolf is a golf variant with simplified rules and reduced equipment requirements – quasi a boarding friendly outdoor sports. The task is to convey a foam ball by means of a universal stick and as few strokes as possible over mown fairways in marked holes. Characteristic are usually carried handcarts, filled with food (like beer..) and simplifying typical gastronomy with plenty Westphalian “barley cold shell”; clothing requirements do not exist.
